www.HuffingtonPost.com with wiki and comedy twitter slideshows editor
newsHuffington post is a website where users can browse massive databases of news articles, located at www.huffingtonpost.com.
Huffingtonpost.com offers a plethora of online news articles ranging
from console gaming and development news, to inspirational stories about
veterans, and back again to generally amusing events such as a criminal
trying to break into through the roof of a building only to fall
through it. The website offers it's users a fairly comprehensive search
function, where the user can punch in a topic and get results related to
it. Alternately the user can simply select the broader topic they're
interested in at the time, such as tech, comedy, politics, or business.
Huffington post offers its stories and articles in a few different media
formats as well. There are the standard articles, which are primarily
text, with a picture or video placed in relevant spots. slideshows also
feature on the site, which are simply a collection of pictures, some
with captions and/or titles that explain what is happening in the
picture. Obviously, as they were mentioned earlier, videos are also
present on the site, inside articles, on their own, or sometimes in
slideshow format, where multiple videos are presented in a gallery that
can be navigated with provided left and right buttons.
Finally, huffingtonpost.com also offers a multitude of links to other
sites, often giving the header or snippet of an interesting story, along
with a picture, and encouraging the user to read more elsewhere when
the story itself isn't hosted specifically on the Huffington Post
website. This allows the site to provide the users with a very wide
selection of news, not bound by who happens to report it first, as they
link to others.
