The website www.classzone.com is an interactive online resource for middle school and high school. Students and teachers visiting the site are first directed to enter the subject they are studying and the state where they are attending school. Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and World Languages are the subjects available to choose from, and all fifty US states are available for location. Once the subject and state are indicated, a list of appropriate textbooks being used in that state is given.

Teachers will find classzone.com useful, both for finding textbooks and for assigning complementary in-class and out-of-class activities. Activities can be done on the website or, sometimes, printed from it. The amount and type of activities depends on the textbook. Quizzes are also often supplied online in interactive and printable form. Links are provided for most textbooks to other websites with more information, encouraging students to further investigate the subject.

Students will find that they can prepare for quizzes and tests effectively using the resources available for their textbook. If they like a subject, there are links on many of the textbook sites to career possibilities in the field. There are online flashcards available for many of the textbooks, which allows students to study alone and save paper. Students can also purchase their own textbooks if they would like to have one for future reference or independent study. More likely, though, going to the online textbook store will be a resource for teachers to show the students how much the textbook costs to replace to give the students further incentive not to lose their books.

Both students and teachers can create online accounts at classzone.com. This conveniently provides links to three of the textbooks each user has previously chosen online so that it is not necessary to search for each textbook every time the user logs in. If a student forgets their textbook at home or at school, many of the textbooks are available online in full form so that study will not be interrupted.
