www.UWO.ca with email login and library catalogue and hours
Books School InfoThe University of Western Ontario website, www.uwo.ca, has a list of
websites related to the University that appear alphabetically under the
“Websites Directory” tab at the top of the page. The next tab, the
“Western Directory”, is where people can search for others from faculty
to the students. On the next tab, the site map, the several different
links help to orient students to what is going on at the campus. For
example, there is a link to where students can find out what they need
to learn about either outgoing or incoming exchange student programs. To
better navigate the campus, students only need to go to the “Campus
Maps” tab to be introduced to the several maps to many of the places on
and off the campus.
Several events are going on at the campus every day in the month of
April. On uwo.ca, people click on the “Events” tab to learn about what
is happening on a particular day in which they would be interested. The
last tab is for Webmail. People who have personal accounts can take
advantage of webmail for the University of Western Ontario.
Down the middle, www.uwo.ca offers news stories related to the
University. On the right side of the page, several links for specific
people such as parents, current students and prospective students takes
them to further links that lead them to more information. For example,
under the “Current Students” link are links to information geared toward
undergraduate students, graduate students and international students.
Underneath this area, picture enthusiasts will be treated to Western’s
Flickr gallery. Now that video has become so popular, the University
also has taken advantage of this fact and placed videos on the website;
they can be found underneath the photographs. The University has been in
the news. On the left side of the page, they have added these news
stories under the title “Making The Headlines”.
