www.xbox.ca. The very first tab that people will see at the top of the
home page is labeled “Xbox 360 + Accessories”. The next tab takes them
where they can join Xbox Live. Xbox Live allows its members to do a lot
of things such as preview the new games that are released to the public.
They have the opportunity to join for free or they can join the paid
memberships for more features. Under the “Games + Marketplace” tab,
gamers find all sorts of games ready for download.
To foster a sense of community, xbox.ca has a tab labeled, “Community”
where gamers can be taken to the forum directory. The forums are places
where gamers can get together and discuss everything about the games of
the day. The last tab, “Kinect”, introduces the latest thing associated
with the Xbox. Kinect allows people to do new things with their Xbox
360s without the benefit of a controller.
On the home page, a revolving door of advertisements let gamers know
what new products Xbox has for them. Anyone interested in learning more
about one of the new gadgets only has to click on the ad. Beneath these
ads, is an ad for people who need to purchase a hard drive. Next to
that, is an ad for the Xbox rewards program. The next ad invites gamers
to join the resistance in the form of a game that allows them to imagine
they are fighting an invasion. The last ad takes people to the new
Kinect games that are ready to be purchased.
At the top right-hand corner of the page, game enthusiasts will find a
link to the page where they can create their own accounts. From there,
they will be able to sign in anytime they feel the need.
