learning teachingRM Education is an educational company, which operates globally through
the use of Internet Technology. This is via the portal www.klp.rm.com.
It operates in the educational sector of the economy and its mission is
quite simple: βTo enable teachers to teach; and learners to learn.β It
carries out its objectives by entering into strategic partnerships with
schools, colleges, local government agencies and other key players in
the educational sector.
It creates innovative products, influences the revision of school
curricular and provides testing services β all aimed at improving the
lives of young, talented and ambitious people. Since each person's needs
differ depending on age, location and occupation, it endeavors to
tailor its products and services to suit the unique needs of each
client.
RM Education's staff is mainly drawn from the teaching profession. They
hire persons who have worked in the profession for around 35 years, who
then come up with computer-based learning materials, which they then
avail to partner institutions for dissemination to the students. The
computerized teaching solutions are then integrated with the existing
curriculum in order to maximize learning and teaching. Institutions,
employers and all the stakeholders thus gain a high return on their
investments.
Once a project has been identified, they enter into a formal contract
with both the contractors and the end users. They then identify the
members of staff whom they will charge with the responsibility of
carrying out the project, allocate funds for it and then work towards
making it see the light of day. Throughout the implementation process,
they communicate constantly with all the stakeholders and production
teams. There is a section at their portal: klp.rm.com where they list
all the pending work plus a brief description of the status of each.
They are currently working on projects like delivery of nationwide
learning management system in Scotland.
