sportIreland offers a great website with an array of topics to become current
on. At www.rte.ie information is found on anything from the News and
Business to Entertainment and Sports, Local Weather and Health
information can also be found on this website.
The topics are well organized and navigation through the website is very
simple. The topics are alligned on the top of the website, from left to
right you will find News, Business, Sports, Entertainment, RTE Player,
Television, Radio and More. Under the More tab you can find other
information such as fashion, food and travel. There's the choice to get
rte.ie on your mobile phone, as well as a place you can go and leave
feedback regarding the website.
To view the videos within the site www.ire.ie uses RTE Player
International, you can catch up on the latest Irish news, The Late Late
show, even the Lottery drawing! There's even videos on food. The videos
can be categorized and therefore easier to find one's interest. Videos
can be saved and later found easier for future viewing. On rte.ie
there's also a link for listening to the radio online. The music is
categorized by genres and age groups.
On the main page of rte.ie/player there is a calendar that can be very
useful and there's a search box on the upper right hand corner where you
can type and search on the site for something you many be looking for.
There's an FAQ's page that lists all possible problems or curiosities a
visitor might encounter. If there is a problem on the website there's a
Help option on the top where you can search for answers to your problem
and also to leave feedback. Last but not least there's also a Kids and Teens section that offers
activities, games, videos and much more entertainment for the younger
ones.
