credit online bankingIf you serve in the armed forces, there are several benefits that are
given to you. Many of these benefits are financial, including specific
bank accounts and lenders that are not available to civilians. This
includes the banking service and website NavyFCU. This is a federal
credit union, which is slightly different from a bank. There are no
share holders, as each member of the credit union actually owns a small
bit of the credit union. Due to this, you receive better investment
rates and interest rates on just about every other account opened
through the banking service. In order to gain access to your account
information, you need to make your way over to the NavyFCU website.
Once you arrive at the website, you are greeted with several different
options. If you already have an account, you can enter in your access
number, user ID and password, then click "Log On" and view your current
account information. However, if you have not yet signed up for the
federal credit union, you need to click "Join Now," then follow the
prompts in how to join the banking service. You must be currently, or
have previously, served in a brance of the armed services, which
includes the army, marine corps, navy, air force and department of
defense. If you have not served, you are not eligible to join the credit
union. Most federal credit unions are very selective with who they let
in, and this holds true with the NavyFCU.org website.
With the website you are able to put your money into a banking account,
take out mortgages and auto loans, plus you are able to invest into an
IRA and a jumbo MMSA. These almost always have better interest rates
than a standard bank near you.
